My Ways To Stay Blog Organised

ways to stay blog organised

I am such an organised person. I like to know what I'm doing and when. I like things to be planned. If you're not very organised, you probably get yourself into such a pickle, right? I thought I'd share my ways on how to stay blog organised.

1. Keep a notebook to jot down all of your post ideas and what to include in your blog posts so you don't miss out anything. I find this a lot easier than just typing up a post when you don't have any notes to write from. The notebook doesn't have to be expensive either.

2. Buy or make a diary so you can note when a blog post will be going up. Also scheduling 'blog photos day' is great too as you're ahead. You could also write in 'post writing day' or 'photo editing day' but for me, I like to write up posts and edit photos as and when I want to. I write all the days of each month down on a piece of paper instead of writing posts in my personal diary. It's just so much more clearer and easy to pop in your blogging notebook. If I blogged every day or almost every day, I would probably buy a separate diary dedicated for blog planning only. Making a spreadsheet on Excel is also great for post planning too!

3. Create a checklist for each post. I have forgotten so many times to add in certain little bits and pieces. Again, you can write one up or create one yourself on your PC and print it out. Go on, get your creative side out! Or, there are many pre-made blog checklists online that you can download and print out for free.

4. Schedule tweets on buffer. As I have a life, it's sometimes hard to get on Twitter and promote my posts. So, I go onto buffer, choose the times of the day I want to tweet and promote my posts through that. It's quick and easy to use and saves you taking time out of your lunch break to do so.

My Soap & Glory Faves

soap and glory favourites blog post

I have been a huge lover of Soap & Glory for as long as I can remember. I made a list and narrowed my Soap & Glory favourites down to five, I don't know how but I managed to succeed. I have yet to try most of their products but for the ones I have tried, I admire almost every single one.

Sugar Crush Body Scrub - I don't know anyone who wouldn't want to try this out. This is probably the strongest smelling product I've smelt in all my life (in a good way). If you love sweet and citrusy smells then you will soon have a crush on this. After running out of my Sugar Crush body wash (which is exactly the same as this but it's a body wash instead of a scrub), I decided to use this product a lot more. I adore the lime smell which fills the bathroom and makes me smell lush all day.

I only use this once or twice a week due to it being quite harsh on the skin. But, it's the perfect exfoliator as it does the job to get rid of those ol' dead skin cells and it's a fab exfoliator for pre-tanning! After using this, I always feel so fresh. I think I'm gonna have to re-purchase the Sugar Crush body wash.

The Righteous Butter - I've been a fan of the Righteous Butter for a long time. It smells absolutely gorgeous which is why I like the brand itself as everything smells beautiful! It's not too thick or too creamy, it's just right. It doesn't take too long to absorb into the skin which is always good. It's a super moisturising product and I especially love using this after shaving my legs. It's terrific for dry skin and makes you feel so smooth and soft after. I guarantee that this will probably be my all time favourite body butter foreverrrrr.

Whipped Clean Body Butter - This product smells so creamy and also smells of vanilla. I LOVE vanilla, so presumably that's why I adore the smell and always smell myself after use. It does the exact same job as the Righteous Butter except, you use Whipped Clean in the shower instead. Again, it's fabulously moisturising and leaves me feeling soft. I don't have a clue when I'll run out of this as the tube is huge!

Heel Genius Foot Cream - This product is part of my foot-care routine. Because I'm a dancer and I stand on my feet almost all day wearing unsupportive ballet pumps, I need to take extra care of my feet. TMI but my feet are always so dry and I have hard skin too. This is where heel genius comes to the rescue! The product is very thick and it takes FOREVER to soak in.

Soap & Glory says to apply this when you go to bed and then put socks on. I can't sleep in socks. So, I apply this when I get home from work or when I have any free time and then put socks on. I try to avoid walking around the house whilst doing this as it feels so gross. But, it works, my feet are incredibly soft afterwards and they're super moisturised. P.S who else can't sleep with socks on?

Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Lip Crayons - I've owned these for ages, are they even still available on the shelves? These are simply lip glosses but crayons. I only use two out of the three colours as the orangey/red colour is way too bright for my liking. They don't stay on your lips all day and you will need to top up a few times throughout the day but the colours are gorgeous.

The Sweetest Lip Scrub Ever!

lush bubblegum lip scrub review

lush bubblegum lip scrub blog review

With the colder weather approaching and having dry lips for the majority of the year, I've finally purchased a lip scrub! Obviously, I had to get the bubblegum flavour. It smells exactly like bubblegum and candy floss and all things sweet. I've heard that it's part of the Snow Fairy family. I've never ever tried Snow Fairy, shock horror! But I promise you that I will this year. So, let's just say that this is the edible version of Snow Fairy.

The consistency is very soft and it's super gentle on my lips. Only scoop out a little amount at a time due to big lumps of the scrub falling off your finger whilst exfoliating. It can be a messy job. Whilst scrubbing my lips, I can taste it, it tastes really sweet to begin with and then a little bit of a soapy taste comes after, it's still incredibly tasty though! The main ingredients is caster sugar and jojoba oil to scrub away the dead skin and to get the moisture back. I usually wash the scrub off afterwards but I sometimes can't resist having a cheeky lick of the lips.

My lips are extremely smooth and soft afterwards and my boyfriend says that he can smell bubblegum when he kisses me. So, it looks like my lips are left soft, moisturised and kissable. You don't need to use much of the product as a little goes a long way. At least my lipstick goes on smoothly now and there's no hideous cracks that are noticeable when I apply my lippy. For £5.50, you definitely get your moneys worth, this will last me ages!

Travel Destinations That I Dream About Visiting

I didn't realise how much of an adventurous person I was until I ended up with a long list of dream destinations on my bucket list. That list will probably grow throughout the years but how amazing would it be if I could eventually cross all of these places off? Here's where I want to go...

Australia- The Australian accent is one of the reasons I want to visit. I just love the accent, I could listen to it all day. The country is so beautiful. I still can't believe how they have a Summer Christmas. For me, I like Christmas to be cold and cosy wrapped in blankets and for it to be snowing outside. Although, the Australian sun is probably worth travelling to the other side of the world for, we don't get much of it here in the UK.

Mexico- I have dreamt of going to this place ever since I was little. The Mexican hats, clothes, music, food and the place itself interests me. I have a family member that's half Mexican so that's probably where I get the love for Mexico from.

America- As a child, I have always wanted to visit America, mainly to go to Disneyworld. I've never been before and my dream is to go there with my kids in the future. It'll cost a fortune but it'll be so worth it. There's also so much to see and do and visit. I'd like to visit many places in America if I had the money. Top of the list is California. Who knows the future?

Cyprus- I have only ever visited Cyprus once and that was when I was very young. Looking back on the photos, there's no reason to not go back. It's such a beautiful, breathtaking place with lots to do and see. I don't really know what else to say about this place. It's just amazing.

Gran Canaria- I have been wanting to go here for years. The mountains and the small island itself has always attracted my attention. My mum doesn't like flying which is why we only go to Spain. Gran Canaria is an extra two hours further than Spain. Although, lucky for me, I'm finally heading here in June. Yay!

The Maldives- What is there to say about this place? Just simply google the Maldives and you'll instantly fall in love and want to jump straight on a plane. Everything about this place is beautiful, it's like paradise.

My Current Top 3 Makeup Favourites

my makeup favourites

Urban Decay Original Primer Potion-
Although this is a sample which I got when I ordered a lipstick, this has lasted me AGES! A little goes a long way with this primer. It keeps my eye makeup in place all day without creasing or getting oily. It's so good that if I accidentally get some mascara on my eyelid, it's bloody hard work to clean it up. I usually wait for the mascara to dry and then go in with a cotton bud. It normally flakes off easily but since using this primer, it's a nightmare. Try to avoid any mascara mess! I'm super happy with this, I'll definitely purchase the full sized one once I've run out.

Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil-
This is very new to my makeup bag and I've become very fond of it. It's very pigmented and the colour and shape lasts all day. It's a waxy formula and the perfect colour. I'm normally used to just a pencil but the wax formula actually shape the hairs into place and I find it a lot easier and quicker. It's also great for the natural brow look. The only down side to this is that the pencil becomes blunt very quickly so it's hard to create those neat lines but it's not a problem, just sharpen it. I can see me going through this fairly quickly but for £2.99, you can't go wrong.

Maybelline Lash Sensational-
I have been using this mascara for a while and it's still one of my favourite makeup items. I don't think anything will replace my forever loved lash sensational for a long time. I love the weightless feel of the mascara on my lashes. It definitely gives my lashes volume and a nice curve. The bristles also space out the lashes evenly which I love!
